It’s important to personalise your hydration strategy. That’s because everyone loses a different amount of sodium in their sweat (this is largely genetically determined) and if you don’t get replacing that right you risk hydration-related issues like cramp, dehydration and hyponatremia.
That’s why we have PH’s electrolyte drinks out on the course. The sodium in them helps you maintain your blood plasma volume, which reduces cardiovascular strain and helps you avoid fatigue.
